Daily Journal Names Arturo González as a Leading Commercial Litigator
San Francisco partner Arturo González has been named a Leading Commercial Litigator in 2025 by the Daily Journal. The list recognizes the achievements of the top litigators making an impact in California, as well as their advancements in the legal industry.
Arturo is one of the nation’s top trial lawyers and is sought after by America’s largest companies, in part because of his ability to communicate with increasingly diverse juries. He may be the only lawyer in the country to obtain defense victories in multiple billion-dollar matters, as well as four jury verdicts in excess of $10 million, often on behalf of the nation’s most prominent institutions, including Uber, VMware, Bank of America, Kaiser Permanente, Bank of the West, Cypress Semiconductor, and Del Monte, among others.
Arturo also uses his superior trial advocacy skills for underserved communities and those without equal access to justice. He has taken on more than 100 pro bono cases throughout his career, obtaining record verdicts in civil rights cases, including the largest verdicts in California history for unlawful strip searches and police shootings. Arturo is likely the only partner at any large U.S. law firm to have tried 12 civil rights cases to verdict.
Arturo is a fellow with the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and an associate with the American Board of Trial Advocates. He was inducted into the California Lawyers Association’s Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame in 2021 and was honored in 2019 by the American Bar Association for his ongoing commitment to pro bono and public service. He has also earned a wealth of recognitions from high-profile publications, including Chambers, The Legal 500, Daily Journal, and National Law Journal.
