Morrison Foerster represented Forum Investment Group, a Denver-based private real estate investment management firm, on the closing of a $226 million private credit fund. The fund exceeded its target raise by 2.2x, signaling a strong launch for Forum’s multifamily private credit strategy.
This fund focuses on providing gap financing in the form of mezzanine debt, preferred equity, participating preferred equity, and joint-venture equity to qualified third-party sponsors supporting their ground up developments, value-add repositioning, and acquisitions of multifamily properties in targeted high-growth markets across the United States.
Palo Alto partner Stephanie Thomas and New York senior associate Hila Cohen led the MoFo team advising Forum on the fund formation, and Denver partner Kelley Howes led MoFo in advising Forum on general investment advisory matters.
