Dr. Sarah Bloch focuses her work on patent drafting and prosecution. Sarah has experience in IP due diligence inquiries, with an emphasis on biotechnology, agriculture, and the food industry.
Sarah has worked extensively in the patent application arena and has also provided support for a variety of freedom-to-operate projects. She has assisted a wide range of clients, including startup biotech and chemistry companies, large pharmaceutical companies, and independent vendors.
Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Sarah was the associate director of research strategy at Pivot Bio, where she managed cross-disciplinary microbial discovery research projects to isolate, characterize, and optimize nitrogen-fixing, plant-associated bacteria for nitrogen delivery to crops.
Sarah received her Ph.D. from the department of biochemistry, molecular biology, and biophysics from the University of Minnesota and her B.S. in biology from Truman State University.
