Hanna Lauritzen is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison and Foerster’s San Francisco office. Hanna received her J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and served as editor-in-chief of A Jailhouse Lawyer’s Manual of the Columbia Human Rights Law Review. While in law school, Hanna worked on behalf of immigrants and the criminally accused at the San Francisco Public Defender, The Legal Aid Society, and the Center for Appellate Litigation. Before law school, Hanna worked as a paralegal for an immigration law firm in San Francisco, supporting attorneys in removal defense and litigation before the Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the federal courts.
Hanna received her B.A. in Sociology from Smith College, with a minor in Economics. She studied abroad in Havana, Cuba, where she conducted research on women in the emerging private sector. Hanna is fluent in Spanish.
