Emily Hamman’s practice focuses primarily on patent prosecution, IP diligence, and drafting in the areas of medical devices, consumer products, user interfaces, and other software.
Prior to joining Morrison Foerster, Emily worked as a patent engineering intern at a boutique IP law firm, where she prepared and prosecuted patent applications in the computer and electrical engineering space. She also previously worked as a development engineer co-op for a medical device company, where she helped to create and modify surgical instruments for surgeon preference using CAD software, and completed the corresponding documentation using engineering design controls.
