Dillon Kraus is an associate in Morrison Foerster’s Privacy + Data Security, Investigations + White Collar Defense, and Commercial Litigation + Trial groups and is based in the firm’s New York office.Dillon’s practice focuses on helping clients build their incident preparedness capabilities, respond to cybersecurity incidents, and manage investigations in the aftermath of an incident. Dillon is experienced in managing third-party forensic and internal investigations, e-discovery efforts, and communications with relevant agencies and impacted stakeholders. Dillon also has experience advising clients on a variety of white-collar matters, including conducting internal investigations. He has represented clients facing regulatory scrutiny by the U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Additionally, he represents clients in a broad range of complex litigation, including commercial litigation and antitrust disputes.Dillon has an active commitment to pro bono work. He has advised a client on investigative activity related to election protection efforts, and represented clients seeking asylum in the United States and sealing of criminal conviction records.Dillon received his J.D. from New York University School of Law, where he served on the Journal of Legislation and Public Policy and led the National Security Law Society student group. While in law school, Dillon completed an internship with the National Security and Cybercrime Section at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.Before law school, Dillon worked at the New York State Office of the Attorney General in the Public Integrity Bureau, which handles complex investigations into government corruption, fraud, and abuses of authority.Dillon received his B.S. in materials science and engineering from Columbia University and B.A. in physics from Wesleyan University.
