WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 2, 2024) – Morrison Foerster, in conjunction with Lawfare, just released the next installment of The Regulators, an event series and podcast that introduces the public to key regulators who oversee the U.S. government’s tools to protect national and economic security.
The Regulators’ guest was Elizabeth Cannon, who leads Commerce’s new office, the Office of Information and Communications Technology and Services (OICTS). Executive Director Cannon discussed the administration’s unprecedented efforts to address risks posed by emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), connected vehicles, and other activities in the dynamic information and communications technology sector.
The podcast is hosted by Brandon L. Van Grack, co-chair of MoFo’s National Security Practice, former U.S. Department of Justice national security official, and contributing editor at Lawfare, with Natalie Orpett, Lawfare’s deputy general counsel and executive editor.
