The Daily Journal has recognized San Francisco partner Richard Hung and Los Angeles partner Bita Rahebi as Top Intellectual Property Lawyers in its 2025 edition. The award honors California’s “top performing intellectual property attorneys working in patent litigation, trademark, and copyright.”
Rich is the Global Co-Chair of Morrison Foerster’s Litigation Department. He previously spent a decade co-leading the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. Rich has overseen cases seeking hundreds of millions of dollars in damages and tried over a dozen cases to jury verdict or final award. Rich combines his experience as an electrical engineer with his knowledge as a registered patent lawyer and a former Federal Circuit clerk to assist clients with their thorniest patent, copyright, trade secret, and trademark issues.
Bita, who marked her fourth consecutive year on the list, is co-chair of Morrison Foerster’s global IP Litigation Group and cross-disciplinary Intellectual Property Group and co-leader of its Semiconductor Industry Group. She helps the world’s most innovative technology companies safeguard their most valuable assets by providing her trial skills and her strategic direction leading complex, high-stakes litigation matters.
Profiles for all the winning lawyers have been featured in a special issue published on April 2, 2025 (subscription required).
