Carrie H. Cohen participated in a fireside chat titled “Brave New World: The Rule of Law in 2025,” for the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Continuing Legal Education. She discussed the U.S. Justice Department’s move to dismiss corruption charges against New York City Mayor Eric Adams.
Carrie said she was confident the Southern District of New York attorney’s office would stand up to attempts by the federal agency to influence it politically, asserting that they are “up to the challenge, and I do not think they will allow their morale to be adversely affected, because they strongly believe in the oath of office that they all took when they joined that office.”
