Lisa Phelan spoke to GCR about the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) Bureau of Competition, Bureau of Consumer Protection and Bureau of Economics uniting as one task force to eliminate harmful labor practices. She noted that it was too early to know whether the FTC’s task force signaled the Trump Administration plans to only pursue no-poach cases under civil law.
“That said, I think it is significant that [FTC Chair Andrew] Ferguson stated that antitrust enforcement in the labor market space is and will be a priority focus for the FTC in this administration and would assume that would likely be true then for the DOJ,” said Lisa.
