Marijn Storm spoke to Cybersecurity Law Report about the European Data Protection Board’s (EDPB) opinion addressing data protection concerns in the development and deployment of AI models and the opinion’s implications for entities subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Marijn stated that the EDPB “reconfirmed its position that controllers can rely on legitimate interest for AI development, provided that they implement measures to mitigate the privacy impact on individuals.”
