Activist groups prepare for legal battles during Trump 2.0

Deborah Connor spoke with Marketplace about the transition of lawyers from the Biden administration to the private sector following a change in administration. She noted that "with a change in administration there’s always a change in priorities, and those changes in priorities may expand or reduce the work, the kind of work that you’re doing." Deborah emphasized that many career lawyers are mission-driven and may seek other opportunities if their area of expertise is no longer prioritized. She also highlighted that having lawyers with agency experience on both sides of negotiations can be beneficial, stating, "They’ve been there, they understand how these matters work. That’s very helpful."
