NYLPI Joins NYC Department of Cultural Affairs for Create in Place Pilot Program

On January 23, 2025, Mark Edelstein, Jeff Temple, and Al Williams hosted a pro bono webinar ​​focused on helping cultural organizations and creative businesses navigate commercial leases. The program was sponsored by the New York Lawyers for Public Interest, in partnership with the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, as part of a pilot program called NYC Create in Place, which is designed to help preserve, access, and expand creative spaces for NYC’s cultural organizations and creative businesses.
