MoFo’s Caitlin Crujido Recognized as a Law360 Rising Star

Law360 has named MoFo associate Caitlin Crujido on its annual Rising Star list, noting her talent for government contracts and work on prominent contractor acquisition deals. The list recognizes the achievements of law practitioners under 40 whose “legal accomplishments transcend their age.”
Caitlin recently played a key part in representing joint venture Hanford Tank Disposition Alliance LLC in its successful protest over the U.S. Department of Energy’s award of a $45 billion nuclear waste management contract to rival joint venture Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C).
Caitlin and her colleagues showed that H2C had let its System for Award Management (SAM) registration lapse while the contract was pending, prompting a Court of Federal Claims judge to disqualify H2C for the deal.
“These are issues that have really piqued folks’ interests, especially the SAM registration issue—that’s something that can impact literally any [contract] offeror,” she said.
