MoFo’s Allyson Bennett Recognized as a Law360 Rising Star

Law360 has named MoFo partner Allyson Bennett on its annual Rising Star list, noting her talent in intellectual property and her work shielding Instagram from copyright lawsuits and defending OpenAI. The list recognizes the achievements of law practitioners under 40 whose “legal accomplishments transcend their age.”

Allyson recently represented OpenAI in class actions filed by authors like Sarah Silverman and George R.R. Martin, and defended StabilityAI in a lawsuit over its operation of a program called Stable Diffusion that was accused of scraping the internet to copy and store billions of copyrighted images without consent or licenses to train it.

In her Law360 interview, Allyson discussed how she ended up as a tech industry lawyer, recounting her passion for applying the law to new technologies and new situations.
