Four Morrison Foerster lawyers have been recognized by Law360 as 2024 Rising Stars. Allyson Bennett, Ryan Adams, Andrew Kissner, and Caitlin Crujido are all featured in the annual list that recognizes the profession’s top legal talent under the age of 40. Winners were selected based on their career accomplishments in their respective disciplines.
Allyson Bennett was selected as a Law360 Rising Star for Intellectual Property. Allyson, a Los Angeles‑based partner in Morrison Foerster’s global IP Litigation Group, represents companies, large and small, in all stages of litigation—from pre-suit counseling and investigation, through trial and appeal. Allyson has litigated a wide range of complex copyright and trademark cases, including cases involving e‑commerce platforms, social networks, technology companies, and developers of generative ai models. She regularly helps companies navigate business challenges arising from copyright and trademark issues in an increasingly digital world. Allyson has been particularly active in defending clients against several landmark copyright cases that could redefine AI copyright rules.
Ryan Adams was selected as a Law360 Rising Star for Compliance. Ryan, a Public Company Advisory & Governance partner in the firm’s Washington, D.C., office, focuses his practice on securities regulation, SEC reporting and compliance, corporate governance, and corporate transactions. Ryan’s deep experience, including as a former SEC staffer, enables him to provide insightful counsel on the federal securities laws, helping clients navigate the complex regulatory landscape and anticipate shifts impacting their businesses.
Andrew Kissner was selected as a Law360 Rising Star for Bankruptcy. Andrew, of counsel in the Business Restructuring + Insolvency Group in the firm’s New York office, focuses his practice on novel and complex insolvency issues, with an emphasis on litigation and in-court advocacy. He has represented debtors, ad hoc groups, official committees, and individual investors in large chapter 11 and chapter 15 filings. He is currently a member of the International Insolvency Institute’s NextGen Leadership Program. Andrew also has an active pro bono practice, including advising numerous tenants in the chapter 11 bankruptcies of their landlords.
Caitlin Crujido was selected as a Law360 Rising Star for Government Contracts. Caitlin, an associate in the Government Contracts practice in Morrison Foerster’s Washington, D.C., office, represents government contractors in a full range of matters, including bid protests, contract disputes, mergers and acquisitions, and internal and external investigations. In her litigation practice, Caitlin is often involved with the full life cycle of claims, from preparing requests for equitable adjustment to litigating claims disputes at the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims (COFC). She also regularly represents clients in pre- and post-award bid protests before procuring agencies, the U.S. Government Accountability Office, and COFC. Caitlin focuses her transactional practice on large scale divestitures helping clients navigate various strategic and legal considerations associated with these complex transactions.
