MoFo Wins Six at the Asian Legal Business Japan Law Awards

Morrison Foerster received six awards at the 20th annual Asian Legal Business (ALB) Japan Awards 2024, including being named as the “International Deal Firm of Year.” MoFo received more honors than any other international firm. The awards honor the achievements of Japan’s leading private practice law firms, in-house teams, and individual practitioners.

In addition to being named as “International Deal Firm of the Year,” MoFo was recognized in several Deal of the Year categories, including:

• Technology, Media and Telecommunications Deal of the Year for Arm Holdings’s IPO on Nasdaq
• M&A Deal of the Year (Premium) for Japan Industrial Partners’ acquisition of Toshiba Corporation
• Real Estate Deal of Year for Fortress’ acquisition of Sogo & Seibu
• Equity Market Deal of the Year for Arm Holdings’ IPO
• Debt Market Deal of the Year for Kubota’s Debut Offering of Senior Notes

Further to these wins, Morrison Foerster was a finalist in 10 other firm and deal categories. MoFo’s success at the ALB Japan Law Awards follows several recent honors received by the Tokyo team, including being named Japan International Law Advisers of the Year by Chambers Asia-Pacific.
