Thirteen from MoFo Named to Law360 Editorial Advisory Boards

Twelve Morrison Foerster partners and the firm’s Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer have been named to Law360’s editorial advisory boards for 2025. The editorial boards provide feedback on Law360’s coverage as well as “expert insight on how best to shape future coverage.”

• Christine Y. Wong was named to Law360’s California Editorial Board. Christine draws on her unique background as a former federal prosecutor in California and New York, and as an in-house compliance executive, to advise companies, boards, and executives on matters that present significant legal and reputational risk – including white-collar and regulatory enforcement, internal investigations, and related civil litigation.
• Nicole K. Serfoss was named to Law360’s Colorado Editorial Board. Nicole specializes in securities litigation, enforcement, and white-collar defense. With over 15 years’ experience, she represents clients in SEC matters, internal investigations, and class actions. She also frequently assists audit and special committees with investigations following allegations of corporate misconduct.
• Lisa M. Phelan was named to Law360’s Competition Editorial Board. Lisa, co-chair of MoFo’s Global Antitrust Law practice, is a leading cartel and antitrust litigator. She served for 16 years as Chief of National Criminal Enforcement at DOJ’s Antitrust Division, and now defends global corporations and CEOs in antitrust investigations and civil damage actions in the U.S. and abroad.
• Brian R. Michael was named to Law360’s Compliance Editorial Board. Brian is a partner in MoFo’s Investigations + White-Collar Defense Group and the chair of the firm’s Global Ethics + Compliance practice. He represents clients in the most complex, high-stakes white-collar criminal cases, internal and government-facing investigations, securities and regulatory enforcement matters, and related litigation.
• Linda K. Clark was named to Law360’s Cybersecurity & Privacy Editorial Board. Linda is a partner in MoFo’s Privacy + Data Security Group with over 20 years of experience advising on data best practices and obligations, designing and implementing compliance frameworks for multinational organizations, and litigation and regulatory matters. Linda previously served as the Chief Data Security Counsel for RELX.
• Natalie Kernisant was named to Law360’s Diversity & Inclusion Editorial Board. A former attorney, Natalie has been a diversity leader at Morrison Foerster since 2013 and was elevated to Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer in 2020. She provides strategic leadership at the firm in the area of diversity and inclusion.
• Andrew R. Turnbull was named to Law360’s Employment Authority Discrimination Editorial Board. Andrew co-chairs the firm’s global Employment + Labor Group and DEI Strategy + Defense Group. He has deep proficiency in litigating, investigating, and advising companies on high-stakes discrimination, harassment, and whistleblower claims. Andrew has specialized experience helping federal contractors navigate these issues when dealing with the government.
• Brian C. Nash was named to Law360’s Intellectual Property Editorial Board. Brian is an established IP litigator and leader in the Western District of Texas. He has managed more than 280 IP cases across the United States, before the PTAB, at the ITC, and on appeal in the Federal Circuit, including matters involving patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyrights.
• Matt Karlyn was named to Law360’s Life Sciences Editorial Board. Matt has 28 years of experience working with companies in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device, and technology industries on a wide range of commercial life sciences, licensing, and technology transactions. Clients rely on Matt for his breadth of knowledge across transactions designed to strengthen operations and maximize value.
• Nathaniel R. Mendell was named to Law360’s Massachusetts Editorial Board. He is a partner in MoFo’s Investigations + White-Collar Defense and Privacy + Data Security Groups who was the former Acting U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts.
• Michael G. O’Bryan was named to Law360’s Mergers & Acquisitions Editorial Board. Michael is a partner in MoFo’s M+A Group, advising on U.S. and international mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic transactions, including “going private” and other related party transactions. He is the immediate past chair of the ABA’s M&A Committee and has provided editorial input on several key ABA initiatives.
• Marian A. Waldmann Agarwal was named to Law360’s New York Editorial Board. Marian is a Privacy + Data Security partner at MoFo and co-leads the firm’s Artificial Intelligence Group. Using her background in information systems and in-house roles, she is instrumental in advising global clients on AI, privacy compliance, and data protection laws.
• Haimavathi V. Marlier was named to Law360’s Securities Editorial Board. Haima, a partner in Morrison Foerster’s Investigations + White-Collar Defense Group and co-chair of the firm’s Fintech practice, draws on her experience as former SEC Senior Trial Counsel to represent clients in SEC, CFTC, state securities, and internal investigations, and in securities and other complex litigation.

Natalie and Nathaniel are serving their third consecutive years on their assigned boards, while Lisa, Alex, and Brian are each serving their second consecutive year.
