Three MoFo Lawyers Recognized at Connect Media’s 2023 Lawyers in Real Estate Awards

Connect Media has selected Mark Edelstein, Thomas Fileti, and Jeffrey Temple as winners at its fourth annual Lawyers in Real Estate Awards. 110 attorneys across the United States were named as winners by Connect Media and were selected for excelling in their practices as well as in their contributions to the community. MoFo was one of only a handful of firms with three lawyers selected in the series.

Mark Edelstein, chair of the firm’s Global Real Estate Group and co-chair of the Distressed Real Estate Group, was named as one of the 10 attorneys selected in the national category. He has over three decades of experience representing leading financial institutions, real estate companies, lenders, owners, acquirers, sellers, and investors. Mark practices in the areas of real estate, REIT, and fund finance; private equity; workouts; restructurings; and bankruptcies. He has been routinely involved in numerous projects that have shaped and continue to reshape the nation’s skylines and in workouts and bankruptcies involving some of the highest profile projects and owners across the United States.

Thomas Fileti, co-chair of the firm’s U.S. Real Estate Group, was named as one of the 10 California-area attorneys selected. He represents a broad spectrum of clients in connection with investments in, and the financing, development, operation, and disposition of, real estate assets in California and throughout the United States. He has an extensive track record of representing clients in substantial and complex transactions.

Jeffrey Temple, co-chair of the firm’s U.S. Real Estate Group, was named as one of 10 New York-area attorneys selected. He has over 35 years of experience representing a broad spectrum of clients making investments in, acquiring, financing, developing, operating, and selling large commercial real estate assets. He regularly advises institutional lenders, private equity investors, investment fund sponsors, REITs, foreign investors, and family offices.
