Chuck Duross spoke at GIR Live: Global Investigations Summit in Madrid and told the audience how the joint monitorship of Odebrecht with Otávio Yazbek in São Paulo presented a “unique challenge,” but that he was the “beneficiary of a great partner.”
“At the very outset, with the first meeting that we had, we came to an agreement: what we were going to do is do it together,” Chuck said. “I really don’t see how you could do two monitorships simultaneously without connecting with each other. Ultimately, it’s what the DOJ wanted, what the [Federal Prosecution Service] wanted, what the company wanted, and we were all, thankfully, aligned on that.”
