Morrison Foerster Recognized by San Francisco Business Times as Top Corporate Philanthropist

Morrison Forester has been ranked on the San Francisco Business Times’ annual list of Top 100 Bay Area Corporate Philanthropists. At number 35, Morrison Foerster is the highest-ranked law firm on the list.

The Corporate Philanthropists List celebrates the Bay Area’s most generous corporate citizens and recognizes those companies that also give their time, talent, and resources. The annual list ranks corporate philanthropists by local cash giving. It includes for-profit companies and nonprofit healthcare organizations that made contributions to Bay Area-based charitable organizations in the following counties: San Francisco, San Mateo, Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma.

The recognition highlights the efforts of both Morrison & Foerster LLP and The Morrison & Foerster Foundation. Funded primarily by the firm’s lawyers, the Foundation has contributed $74 million since 1986 to a variety of nonprofit organizations that address social welfare and systemic discrimination through programs focused on legal aid, civil rights, and equity in education, healthcare, and housing.
