Washington, D.C. associate Whitney Lee has been named to the National Black Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 List for 2023. This is the second consecutive year that she has been featured on this prestigious list.
Whitney Lee is an associate in the firm’s Privacy + Data Security and Crisis Management Groups. Her practice focuses on advising clients on significant cybersecurity incidents and other sensitive matters relating to U.S. domestic and international cybercrime, national security, risk, and crisis management, including matters that involve multijurisdictional investigations, congressional oversight, and significant media attention.
Whitney has previously been named a Rising Star in Bloomberg Law’s “They’ve Got Next” series and recently received the American Bar Association’s “On the Rise – Top 40 Young Lawyers Award.” In addition to her practice, Whitney runs CYREIN, a pro bono consulting and educational service for cyberstalking victims. She founded the organization in 2018, following her graduation from Columbia Law School, to address the uptick in spyware and the proliferation of home surveillance used by stalkers and domestic abusers.
The National Black Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40 is an invitation-only professional development and networking association comprised of the top African American attorneys, ages 40 and under, across the country. The organization recognizes influential attorneys from each state who promote its mission through their outstanding legal representation, reputations, and efforts in their respective practice areas.
