Morrison Foerster is highly ranked in the 2024 editions of Best Lawyers in Japan and Best Lawyers in Singapore, receiving 67 individual rankings in Japan and three individual rankings in Singapore.
Morrison Foerster is named as the 2024 Firm of the Year for Real Estate in Best Lawyers in Japan. Singapore Managing Partner Shirin Tang is the 2024 Lawyer of the Year for Mergers and Acquisitions Law in Best Lawyers in Singapore. Shirin has over 20 years of experience in private equity and M&A transactions in the United States, Southeast Asia, and China and has a strong market reputation for complex and innovative transactions, with a particular focus on corporate real estate matters and cross-border club/consortium transactions across industries. Over the past year, Shirin has led a number of award-winning transactions, with deal values in excess of US$1 billion each and US$30 billion in total.
Partner and co-head of the Tokyo Litigation department Louise C. Stoupe is the 2024 Lawyer of the Year for International Arbitration in Best Lawyers in Japan. Louise’s practice focuses on high-tech disputes in international arbitration and litigation. Louise is an experienced trial lawyer, known for representing some of the largest technology companies in the world, in their multijurisdictional and complex commercial litigation cases.
