Morrison Foerster’s Summer Associate Program ranked #15 on the 2022 American Lawyer (AmLaw) Summer Associate Survey, up 13 spots from the firm’s #28 ranking in 2021, making MoFo one of few firms that jumped 10+ spots in the rankings for 2022. The survey measured 5,000+ summer associates’ overall satisfaction with the program, including satisfaction with the work, benefits and compensation, interaction with partners, mentoring and training, career development, and more.
MoFo’s firmwide score was well above the national average, with respondents stating that MoFo is “a great firm with interesting work and a great culture” and “a firm that does serious work but where people are friendly, outgoing, and willing to mentor you.” In addition, the survey published individual city rankings, with MoFo coming in the number one and number two spots in Palo Alto and Boston, respectively.
According to the AmLaw survey results, one Palo Alto summer associate stated, “The firm [MoFo] provides thorough, detailed training, and presents many opportunities to do real work in a variety of areas. It also allows me to create meaningful professional connections with both lawyers and clients.”
“My summer associate experience at Morrison Foerster has been incredibly valuable for my career. Not only has it introduced me to a highly welcoming and incredibly competent network, but it has also helped me further understand my career aspirations and legal interests,” said one Boston summer associate.
MoFo also ranked #2 in the Law360 Pulse Summer Associates Survey, based on responses from 670 law students.
“We are thrilled with the rankings from both AmLaw and Law360,” said Morrison Foerster Director of Recruiting Nicole Wanzer. “The results are a product of our dedicated attorney recruiting team, commitment and mentorship by partners and associates, and many members of our community going above and beyond.”
