Morrison Foerster congratulates Singapore Managing Partner Shirin Tang on being recognized as one of the Top 15 Female Lawyers across Asia by Asian Legal Business (ALB). Hong Kong Partner and Global Chair of the Private Equity Group, Marcia Ellis, was named to the list in 2021.
The ALB Asia Top 15 Female Lawyers list honors the achievements of female lawyers across Asia who have consistently delivered high-quality work and set high standards in their respective legal spaces, while earning accolades from their colleagues, superiors, and clients. For 2022, 155 submissions were made across 13 countries, highlighting the significance of the achievement.
Shirin has over 20 years of experience in private equity and M&A transactions in the United States, Southeast Asia, and China and has a strong market reputation for complex and innovative transactions, with a particular focus on corporate real estate matters and cross-border club/consortium transactions across industries. Over the past few years, Shirin has led a number of award-winning transactions, with deal values in excess of US$1 billion each and US$60 billion in total.
In addition to her practice, Shirin is committed to the retention and advancement of women in the legal profession and is an active member of Morrison Foerster’s Women’s Strategy Committee, which leads the firm’s award-winning initiatives for its women lawyers. She also champions wellness at work as a leading member of the firm’s Mental Health Strategy Committee.
