Morrison Foerster has taken top honors in four categories at Euromoney Legal Media Group’s annual Americas Women in Business Law Awards. The awards recognize high achieving female lawyers and progressive law firms who best support women in law.
Morrison Foerster won the “Work-Life Balance International Firm of the Year” award in recognition of Morrison Foerster’s reputation as one of the most family-friendly work environments in the legal profession and robust work-life programs.
Three Morrison Foerster lawyers were also individually recognized:
Erin Bosman was once again named “Product Liability Lawyer of the Year.” Co-Chair of MoFo’s Class Actions and Mass Torts Group, Erin defends clients in high-stakes mass tort litigation and navigates them through complex, company-threatening product liability crises. Clients count on her to protect their brands and turn to her as their trusted advisor. Erin has long championed women in the legal profession and serves as mentor, sponsor, and advisor to countless women both within and outside the firm.
Bita Rahebi was named “Patent Lawyer of the Year.” Bita is the co-chair of the firm’s global IP Litigation Group and the cross-disciplinary Intellectual Property Group. As a trial lawyer, Bita is recognized for zealously representing her clients’ interests. She brings an ability to explain complicated issues to juries and judges, a skill honed through years of experience working with cutting-edge technologies. She has obtained a complete defense victory as lead trial lawyer, invalidated numerous patents, and also obtained winning results for plaintiffs. Bita also successfully tried criminal jury matters at the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, securing a guilty verdict for every trial.
Anna Erickson White was honored with the “Outstanding Achievement” award, which is given to a lawyer with an illustrious career and considerable achievements who have earned unanimous market recognition and praise. Anna is a Litigation partner at MoFo in San Francisco and has almost 30 years of experience in securities and other complex, high-stakes civil litigation. She has represented companies, as well as their officers and directors, in securities class actions, derivative suits, merger and acquisition litigation, and general commercial disputes. She also regularly advises boards and management on disclosure and high-profile governance issues. Her clients span a range of industries including technology, life sciences, renewable energy, gaming, and financial services. In the fall of 2012, Anna was part of a group of women who decided to create a network for women securities litigators, Women in Securities, more commonly referred to today as WISe. The network is designed to encourage the growing number of women in the industry and to ensure that women continue to play a leadership role in the future of securities litigation.
