Asian Legal Business (ALB) has recognized Tokyo partner Randy Laxer in its annual Top 15 M&A Lawyers award series. The award recognizes M&A lawyers from the entire Asian region and winners were selected based on several factors, including the significant M&A deals they handle and client recommendations. Randy is the sole practitioner from Japan to be listed.
Randy advises clients on cross-border M&A, private equity, strategic alliances, and complex international joint ventures covering a range of industries, including technology, health care, life sciences, and media. He has more than 20 years of experience representing Japanese corporations in complex global M&A transactions as well as advising leading private equity funds and strategic investors in their acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic investment transactions in Japan.
Randy serves as co-head of Morrison & Foerster’s Asia Private Equity practice and is a frequent speaker on the legal developments impacting Japanese and international companies engaged in cross-border M&A.
The recognition celebrates top M&A lawyers who demonstrate practical experience and drive the deal-making to the next phase of success, not only in terms of the deal value but also in the impacts it creates.
