Alexis Amezcua Named Next Generation Leader at Legal Momentum’s Aiming High Awards

Legal Momentum was honored to recognize Alexis Amezcua as a Next Generation Leader for her shared passion for gender equality. Alexis demonstrates a longstanding commitment to diversity and inclusion as a founding member of the Latinx and Women of Color affinity groups. She serves as co-chair of the firm’s Diversity Strategy Committee and is the hiring partner for the San Francisco office.

On its 50th anniversary, Legal Momentum strived to remember its successes and recommitment for the next 50 years of doing battle to ensure the rights of women and girls to economic and physical security. For five decades, Legal Momentum has used three main strategies—high-impact litigation, educational initiatives, and policy advocacy—to strengthen gender equality under the law and in our society. Its areas of focus include gender-based violence, workplace equality, educational opportunity, and fairness in the courts. Recognizing that its vision has always been inextricably linked to the work of many other justice movements, including racial justice, Legal Momentum is committed to an intersectional approach and a view of gender equality that is inclusive of all gender identities.
