Morrison & Foerster advised Generate Capital, a leading sustainable infrastructure investment and operating platform, in connection with its conversion to a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC).
Generate builds, owns, operates, and finances sustainable infrastructure that delivers affordable and reliable resource solutions for companies, governments, and communities. Their Infrastructure-as-a-Service model delivers affordable, reliable and sustainable resources to over 2,000 customers, companies, communities, school districts and universities. Converting to a PBC formalizes Generate’s longtime commitment to building a sustainable world, and embodies the company’s vision that there is no tradeoff between financial performance and environmental impact. MoFo also advised Generate on its $2 billion capital raise announced in July to meet rising investor demand and expand to new regions and sectors.
The MoFo team advising Generate was led by San Francisco corporate partner Suz Mac Cormac, together with San Diego of counsel Shai Kalansky, and San Francisco associates Benjamin Fox, Michael Santos, and Molly Yoder.
