The Daily Journal has named partner Bonnie Lau on its list of Top Antitrust Lawyers for 2021. The recognition, which honors leading California lawyers who specialize in plaintiff, defense, and government antitrust work, highlights Bonnie’s outstanding professional track record.
A dynamic litigator and trial lawyer, Bonnie has defended companies in high-stakes litigation involving claims of price-fixing, monopolization, output suppression, predatory pricing, and group boycott, as well as prosecuted antitrust counterclaims in patent, IP infringement, and trade secret matters. She has tried several bench and jury trials to verdict, and recently served as lead trial counsel in an antitrust class action jury trial. Bonnie leverages her over 15 years of experience across a range of industries defending clients in complex class actions, multidistrict litigations, and domestic and international enforcement actions.
She is also a leader on diversity and inclusion (D+I) and devotes herself to advancing Asian Pacific American (APA) and D+I issues in the legal community, currently serving as chair of the Leadership Council for Legal Diversity Alumni and co-chair of the NAPABA Women’s Leadership Network. She is enthusiastic about combining her dual passions for antitrust law and D+I in her next role as co-chair for the Board of Women.Connected for the ABA Antitrust Law Section.
In recognition of her professional excellence, Bonnie received the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) Best Under 40 Award in 2020 and won the 2021 Antitrust and Competition Lawyer of the Year Award at Euromoney Legal Media Group’s Women in Business Law Awards.
