Tina Reynolds spoke to Compliance Week about the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Cyber-Fraud Initiative, which warns entities that do business with the government that the promises they make regarding the strength of their cybersecurity defenses must hold up to scrutiny.
“This demonstrates a priority shift by [the] government in terms of examining these types of cases,” Tina said. “It signals the need to pay much closer attention to what your obligations are in terms of cybersecurity.”
