Morrison & Foerster’s Summer Associate Program Receives Top Score in Law360’s Pulse Poll
Despite being virtual for the second year in a row, Morrison & Foerster’s 2021 summer associate program received the top spot in Law360’s Summer Associates Survey. The firm received a score of 4.94, coming in the number one spot, among 15 other top ranking firms, based on feedback from more than 750 1L–3L law students. The survey evaluated the overall summer experience, including mentoring and training opportunities, career development, networking opportunities, developing skills, and firms’ ability to conduct programs during a global pandemic.
Based on survey results, the pandemic had little to no impact on the quality of the summer experience, with 96% of respondents stating their programs gave them better insight into the type of law they’d want to practice, and 90% stating they were able to effectively connect with senior attorneys at their firms.
“We are honored to take the top spot in Law360’s Summer Associates Survey this year,” said Morrison & Foerster Director of Attorney Recruiting Nicole Wanzer. “This recognition speaks to the quality of the programs and mentoring we offer here at Morrison & Foerster and our commitment to fostering the development of the next generation of exceptional attorneys at the firm and in the legal profession.”
The firm’s summer associate program was also recently ranked in the American Lawyer Summer Associate Survey, moving up 12 spots since 2019. Overall the firm was ranked 28th, with the firm’s regional offices receiving a top score in San Diego and a second-place ranking for both the Boston and Palo Alto offices.
