MoFo Advises on China Eastern Airlines’ Issuance of SGD500 Million Credit Enhanced Bonds
MoFo advised Eastern Air Overseas (Hong Kong) Corporation Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited (670.HK), in its issuance of SGD500 million 2.00% Credit Enhanced Bonds due 2026.
The Bonds will have the benefit of a standby letter of credit issued by Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited, Shanghai Municipal Branch in favor of the Trustee relating to the Bonds.
Headquartered in Shanghai, China Eastern Airlines is one of China’s three major state-owned airlines. It is China’s second-largest carrier by passenger numbers.
The deal team was led by Hong Kong corporate partners Ke Huang and Vivian Yiu, and included Hong Kong corporate associates Ian Tam, Jimmy Jin, Wyatt Zhang, and trainee solicitor Ellie Xu.
