Julie Park and Mark Zebrowski spoke to Compliance Week for an article covering how companies should handle potential supply chain disruptions during the coronavirus pandemic.
“The pandemic has created a chaotic business environment in which no one can depend on standard operating procedure,” Julie said, advising companies to strive to be organized and disciplined, especially in conversations with suppliers. “You want to make sure you’re speaking with a universal voice. You want to have a consistent message.”
Mark added that companies should have detailed documentation to protect themselves if relationships sour and lawsuits start flying. “You want to keep detailed records of the scramble you’re going through, because this is going to play out over months and years.”
