Morrison & Foerster Recognized for Wellbeing Program at azur Awards 2020

Morrison & Foerster has been recognized by JUVE/azur, the leading career platform for young legal professionals in Germany, as part of its prestigious azur 2020 awards. Our German office received the Innovation Award – which highlights firms who break new ground in the areas of legal tech, diversity, pro bono, work/life balance, salary schemes, and on-the-job training and development – in recognition of the office’s innovative and holistic wellbeing program.

Of note, azur shined light on the firm’s Healthy MoFo Program, stating that few law firms promote a healthy life as comprehensively as Morrison & Foerster. It noted that the firm has made sure that mental health awareness and mindfulness are fostered within its team, giving rise to a new spirit. The publication added that numerous initiatives underpin the program. For example, last year a team from the Berlin office cycled through the Alps, while others go to a weekly workout together.

MoFo was also one of five firms to be shortlisted for the Career Development Award, which is given to law firms who have shown continuous success in supporting young professionals with planning their career and offering opportunities for advancement, mostly by supporting the personal and professional development of young lawyers.

JUVE/azur received feedback from nearly 4,000 associate-level professionals, both at law firms and in-house, as well as nearly 1,500 students seeking to pursue a career in law. In addition, the editorial team gathered information from approximately 300 legal employers and held numerous interviews with HR managers.
