MoFo advised Carlsmed, Inc. in connection with its US$10 million Series A financing led by U.S. Venture Partners (USVP). Carlsmed will use the financing to commercialize the aprevo family of spine deformity correction devices. Carlsmed was recently granted 510(k) clearance and Breakthrough Device Designation by the FDA for aprevo, making it the first implant ever to receive both Breakthrough Device Designation and 510(k) market clearance from the FDA. USVP is a leading Silicon Valley venture capital firm, partnering with entrepreneurs to transform their ideas into world-changing companies.
