Richard S.J. Hung authored an article for The Recorder discussing the benefits of virtual meetings in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“COVID brought us many bad things, but virtual meetings was not one of them,” Richard wrote. “During the pandemic, we litigators found ourselves attending virtual client meetings, virtual mediations, virtual hearings, and even virtual trials. And we learned how to flourish during those virtual sessions.”
He added: “By and large, we—and our mental health and families—benefited greatly from virtual meetings. Yes, we will miss some of the perks of being a road warrior. Like the United Classic Beef Butter Burger, and binge-watching the John Wick series in Economy Plus. But we could have enjoyed those things (or their equivalent) at home. Instead, we get to partake in other, more important things. Priceless things. Like watching children’s sporting events, attending family dinner, visiting elderly parents, catching up with friends, and rediscovering our spouses over date night.”
