James Koukios authored an article for Corporate Compliance Insights examining the key events that changed the anti-corruption compliance landscape in the 2010s.
“As the decade of the 2010s closed, anti-corruption compliance and enforcement had become ubiquitous around the world. But the decade did not start that way,” the authors wrote. “Underfunded enforcement agencies and underutilized or insufficient anti-bribery statutes were the rule, rather than the exception in 2010.”
The author would like to thank Saqib Alam, Margot Benedict, Gerardo Gomez Galvis, and Vanshika Vij for their contributions to this article.
