Kwan Park’s practice focuses on employment and labor litigation.Kwan’s entire legal career has focused on representing employers. He seeks to understand each client’s unique business needs and objectives and relentlessly works to achieve them, whether in employment and labor litigation or in addressing novel legal issues.In particular, Kwan litigates complex actions, including putative class, collective, and representative (e.g., under the California Private Attorneys General Act) actions involving anywhere from dozens to tens of thousands of employees. Throughout his career, Kwan has defended employers against a wide range of employment and labor claims, such as alleged wage and hour violations (e.g., minimum wages and overtime, meal and rest periods, accurate itemized wage statements, necessary business expenses, timely payment of final wages, etc.), misclassification (including exempt status and independent contractor), unfair labor practice, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in court and before government agencies, including the California Labor Commissioner’s Office and the California Employment Development Department.Kwan has represented employers in a variety of industries, including those in retail, technology, supply chain, finance, pharmaceutical, energy, and healthcare.During law school, Kwan served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Edward J. Davila in the Northern District of California. He has also interned at the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the National Labor Relations Board.Kwan is a graduate of Stanford Law School, where he was an articles editor of the Stanford Law Review. He received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.Kwan is admitted to practice in California and New York.
