Join us, in-person or virtually, for a panel session that will bring together practitioners and academics who will reflect on diversity issues in the context of international arbitration, and London’s ongoing role in Africa related disputes.
Alongside the wider LIDW2022 theme: Dispute Resolution-Global, Sustainable, Ethical?, this session will focus on the capacity building role London has or might have for international arbitrations involving African treaties/parties. It will take a critical look at the future of dispute resolution and its place in the post pandemic world and address questions such as:
- What can London do to improve its standing, and the geographic diversity of the pool of arbitrators sitting, in such proceedings?
- Is there more that London arbitration counsel can do to promote the growth of, and increase the utilization of a pool of Africa based arbitrators?
To join the debate, please register. Corporate in-house General Counsel, clients and government lawyers can attend free of charge.
