Kristina has more than 20 years of experience advising clients across many industries, including the software, internet, mobility, media, and consumer electronics industries, with a particular focus on technology-driven and IP-heavy transactions. Her legal practice focuses on matters relating to the development, licensing, and use of software; cloud platforms and digital services (such as software as a service, product-embedded software, IPTV, music and  film streaming services, apps, and podcasts); intellectual property law (in particular, copyright and trade-secrets issues); and consumer and commercial law. She also advises clients in the digital transformation of their business structures and processes, including implementing new technologies such as cloud services, machine learning applications, new mobility/automotive solutions, distributed-ledger technology, and the use of open source software.Kristina regularly drafts and negotiates a wide variety of complex transactions, including:<ul><li>Software, apps, and skills-development and licensing agreements</li><li>Joint development and cooperation agreements</li><li>Digital content licensing agreements</li><li>IT outsourcing agreements </li><li>Contracts along the supply and distribution chain for goods and services</li></ul>Her clients range from start-ups to large international corporations based in Europe, Japan, and the U.S. Clients appreciate her extensive experience in complex cross-border contract negotiations. Paul Goldstein, the Lillick Professor of Law at Stanford Law School, has been of counsel to Morrison & Foerster since 1988 and works with lawyers in the firm's offices around the world, advising on copyright and related intellectual property matters that arise in the context of litigation, licensing, and counselling. As a member of firm teams in each of these settings, he draws on more than 50 years’ experience teaching and practicing copyright law to help clients design practical solutions to avoid or minimize legal exposure while achieving positive business results.Mr. Goldstein has written numerous articles and books. His widely-consulted five-volume treatise, Goldstein on Copyright, is updated semi-annually. He is also the co-author of the treatise International Copyright: Principles, Law and Practice (4th ed. 2019).In 2015, Mr. Goldstein was inducted into Intellectual Asset Management’s IP Hall of Fame. He has also been listed in Best Lawyers in America for Intellectual Property Law since its fourth publication in 1991.Mr. Goldstein has worked on several pathbreaking copyright cases, including Universal v. Sony (the "Betamax" case); West v. Mead Data Central (the "Star Pagination" case); On Command Video Corp. v. Columbia Pictures Industries; and Fujitsu v.
