This event brings together sitting federal judges, top defense and plaintiffs’ attorneys, and leading academics, and provides opportunities to learn about critical issues and emerging trends and to engage with experts in the field. The Class Action Law Forum benefits the Western Alliance Bank Scholarship Fund supporting a USD Law School student in financial need.
On March 12, Alexandra Barlow will speak on the “Consumer Class Actions” panel, followed by Erin Bosman, who will discuss “What to Expect in AI Litigation in 2024.” Bonnie Lau will deliver the “Quick Hit: Antitrust” talk and Whitney O’Byrne will participate in the “Trends and Hot Topics in Class Actions” panel. Daralyn Durie will speak on “Key Takeaways from Class Actions in 2023,” and to close out the evening, Purvi Patel will speak at the “Privacy Class Actions” session.
On March 13, Bill Tarantino will participate in “The Increase of Fraud in Class Actions and Mass Torts, Plus the Ethics of Third-Party Filers.” David McGowan will speak on the panel “Ethics: The Increasing Role of Technology and AI,” followed by Julie Park on the “MDL Panel.” Finally, Claudia Vetesi will discuss “Class Certifications and Settlement Issues.”
