RILA (Retail Industry Leaders Association) Retail Law Conference 2020
MoFo is a proud sponsor of the Retail Industry Leaders Association’s Retail Law Conference, a compelling digital experience for general counsel and other top in-house attorneys from the leading U.S. retailers to be held October 20–22, 2020.
Mark Foster, co-chair of the Securities Litigation, Enforcement, and White-Collar Defense Group, will be speaking alongside Dawn Rausch, Senior Corporate Counsel of Best Buy, on the panel entitled, “Minimizing Securities Litigation Risk.” They will address techniques and tips for minimizing securities litigation risk and discuss practical issues with a focus on operations challenges that drive event-driven litigation. They will also cover how forecasting and guidance practices can become center stage in securities class actions. This session will take place on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 1:30-2:30 PM ET.
Purvi Patel, co-chair of the firm’s Diversity Strategy Committee, will facilitate a “Ask a GC” session with Teresa Wynn Roseborough, Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary of The Home Depot, Inc. During this session, the GC will be asked to weigh in on a common set of a few questions on things like her journey to becoming a GC, what she looks for in rising stars, and how she has navigated difficult issues. In-house counsel attendees will also be able to ask their own questions in this special “open door” session. Join Purvi and Teresa on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 from 1:30-2:20 PM ET.
