Yoshiya Usami is a partner at Morrison Foerster Law Offices. He has advised and represented clients in a wide range of matters, including general corporate matters, commercial disputes, cross-border transactions, labor and employment, licensing, and joint ventures. His practice puts particular emphasis on antitrust/competition law, including cartel defense, investigation of unilateral conduct, and antitrust compliance. 

Yoshiya served as a Non-Governmental Advisor (NGA) to the International Competition Network and a country representative of the International Committee of the Antitrust Law Section of the American Bar Association. He is a member of the Japan Competition Law Forum.  

Yoshiya is a bengoshi admitted to practice in Japan, a member of Daini Tokyo Bar Association, and a qualified lawyer in New York. He received his LL.B. from Tokyo Metropolitan University and received his LL.M. from Cornell Law School. Yoshiya completed training at the Legal Training and Research Institute of the Supreme Court of Japan (57th Trainee).
