And when a congressional investigation sparks scrutiny from the public or other investigative entities, or adds on to other investigations already underway, the risks can multiply quickly.
Our Congressional Investigations team is experienced in handling and resolving high-profile and complex issues before numerous congressional committees. Our team draws on former congressional investigators and senior U.S. government officials, including former chief counsels of the Senate Oversight Committee and Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee; counsels to the Senate Judiciary, House Energy, and Commerce Committees; counselor to the Attorney General; General Counsel to the Director of National Intelligence; and more than a dozen former senior government officials who regularly answered to Congress. We know where the hidden risks are and how to minimize them.
Our cross-disciplinary team—drawing from our Antitrust, Financial Services, Government Contracts, Life Sciences + Healthcare, National Security, Privacy + Data Security, and Investigations + White-Collar Defense Groups—allows us to build a team to handle any issue that has caught, or might soon catch, the attention of Congress.
We have recently represented or advised companies and individuals before several congressional committees, including the Senate Oversight (Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee), House Oversight, Senate Judiciary, House Judiciary, and Senate Finance Committees.
