Representative Matters

 

  • Advising Rolls Royce plc on a private placement of senior unsecured notes.  The Notes were placed with a group of U.S. insurance companies.  RBS acted as Agent.
  • Advising Brambles Group on a private placement of senior unsecured notes.  The Notes were placed with a group of U.S. insurance companies.  RBS and NAB acted as Agents.  The transaction was the largest private placement to date in Australia.
  • Advising Bertelsmann, the global media company, on a private placement of senior debt to US financial institutions.  The offer was co-agented by The Royal Bank of Scotland and ABN AMRO.
  • Advising The Electricity Supply Board of Ireland on a private placement of senior debt.  The notes were sold to U.S. institutional investors.  The offer was co-agented by Barclays and ABN AMRO.  The transaction is the largest private placement done in Ireland.
  • Advising  E-CO Energei A/S on a cross-border private placement of senior notes to a group of U.S. and U.K. financial institutions.  It was the first representation by the London office of a Norwegian corporation.  E-CO is the principal electricity provider to the City of Oslo.  The transaction was the largest of its kind ever done in Norway and achieved the narrowest spreads in the private market for 2004.  The transaction was agented by BNP Paribas.
