New York (October 1, 2007) – Morrison & Foerster LLP announced today that Anna Pinedo, partner in the firm’s Capital Markets group in the New York office, has been named one of “The 100 Most Influential Hispanics” by Hispanic Business magazine. She was recognized for her contribution to the world of securities and derivatives, both on behalf of her clients and her work with regulators to help understand and oversee these complex financial products.
Hispanic Business magazine annually honors 100 Hispanics in academia, government, business, and culture who have made a difference on the national and global stage. This year’s honorees were announced in the October issue of the magazine.

Ms. Pinedo specializes in securities and derivatives transactions at Morrison & Foerster. She has built a successful practice and earned a reputation on Wall Street for creating innovative financial products and new financing techniques. She represents investment banks/financial intermediaries, issuers and investors in financing transactions, including public offerings and private placements of equity and debt securities and hybrid instruments. Ms. Pinedo has been named a leading lawyer by Chambers USA, Chambers Global, IFLR, and The Legal 500 – United States. Ms. Pinedo was also a recipient in 2007 of a Burton Award for Legal Achievement, which honors excellence in legal writing.
