San Francisco partners James J. Brosnahan and Arturo J. Gonzalez were recently named to the 2006 Daily Journal's Top 100 California's Leading Lawyers. This annual list is compiled by the newspaper off of their "reporting, day in and day out, on the legal community...examining what's happening in the state and which lawyers are at the center of the action," in the Editor's words.
On James J. Brosnahan, the paper commented that "Nationally renowned civil rights attorney Brosnahan is representing whistle-blower Mark Klein, the retired AT&T technician who says the company allowed the government to spy on million of customers."
About Arturo J. Gonzalez, the paper noted that "Morrison & Foerster's first Latino partner has led the on-going challenges to California's high-school exit exam, arguing that it discriminates against low-income and minority students."
