Mr. Levison is a partner in the Litigation Department of Morrison & Foerster’s Tokyo office, where he focuses on commercial litigation and arbitration, with particular emphasis on the resolution of multi-jurisdictional disputes. Mr. Levison also has significant experience conducting internal investigations and compliance reviews in Japan and other locations in the Asia Pacific region.

Mr. Levison has counseled clients in a range of matters involving contract disputes, business torts, product liability, intellectual property, electronic commerce, antitrust, securities, and other issues. He has also represented clients in a variety of industries, including electronics, software, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, and banking and financial services, among others. In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Levison also advises clients on a variety of public policy issues, including privacy and data protection.

Mr. Levison obtained his A.B. degree cum laude in 1993 from Cornell University, where he majored in government and Asian studies, and received his M.Sc. degree in public administration and public policy in 1994 from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He received his J.D. degree in 1997 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law. From 1997 to 1998, Mr. Levison served as a law clerk to the Honorable Eduardo C. Robreno, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Levison is admitted to the New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey state bars, is qualified as a Gaikokuho-Jimu-Bengoshi in Japan, and is a member of the Dai-ni Tokyo Bar Association.
