Chris Harrison is a UK-qualified partner in the London office of Morrison & Foerster and a member of the firm’s Financial Transactions Group.

Mr. Harrison acts for financial institutions, sponsors and governments on complex domestic and cross-border finance transactions under English law. He advises on a broad range of finance matters, including acquisition finance; asset-based lending; debt restructurings; public to private transactions; private debt placements; and project financings.

Mr. Harrison’s recent experience includes representing First Citizens BancShares, a US$16.3 billion financial holding company, in relation to the opening of a representative office in London, BancShares first expansion outside the U.S.; representing Warburg Pincus as the sponsors in the US$181 million leveraged buyout of Shandong Deosen Corporation Ltd., one of the largest global producers of xanthan gum; advising Deutsche Bank AG in relation to an Islamic (Sukuk) bond issuance by a Cayman SPV issuer in respect of Kuwait real estates assets; advising Fremont Realty Capital as Sponsor in relation to a US$765 million acquisition financing of a European storage business; and representing Warburg Pincus in its US$150 million purchase of a 9.7% stake in Hong Kong-listed Gome Electrical Appliances Holdings Ltd., a leading PRC and Hong Kong-based electronics retailer.
